Traditionally, Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express overall gratitude.
As Lucy puts it in Across the Universe, "it celebrates the time when the Indians shared their food with the early settlers. And how do we repay them? We slaughter them in thousands and then ship them off to the worst bits of real estate."
So let's give thanks and redeem ourselves:
